I will keep an eye out for you in Holloway , I am a BT engineer and Holloway is part of my patch . Its very rare to see anything interesting on the streets these days , I would spot your 205 a mile off .

As said time to enjoy it, well done to Aaron for coming up trumps

Can you tell me what spring your using up front with the gti6 engine? could you possibly take a picture from the side, ride height looks spot on but hard to tell

Thanks

Gary

Hi Gary,

As far as I'm aware we are on standard suspension all around.

What part of London? I used to live in Islington, and it always annoyed me that just getting out of London was a journey in itself, so you could never just jump in the car and go for a quick enjoyable spin.

Sorry to go ove old ground, but I was just looking at the photos again in the first post and something occurred to me - I wonder if the person who fitted the SS kick plates on the sills lifted the rubber seals when he did the job, or if he just slid the plates under them. If it was the former, it means that person would have seen the welds and yet must have ignored them!

I assumed those "kick plates" where to disguise the cut and s*it?

Yeah I did, I think I met him a couple of times. There was another lad off streetphire on here, not sure if he is or not. Dan something I think.

New car looks super nice! Good that it worked out in the end!

Aaron has been busy in Essex with it, went back for a few tweaks:

New lower arms and tie rods.

New rear pads

Got the horn working!

Reverse light now works too.

New backbox fitted in hope that it would silence the engine a bit (it hasn't!)

Heres some pics of it with my neighbours car!

Next job is to get the front bumper sprayed and fit the driving lights!

Plates are from Dubmeister, £32 for two.
