Exhaust Manifold Downpipe Gasket

Whats the difference between the older and later wire gaskets if anything

 

Bought a new manifold set but seems small compared with the manifold outlet, do you have to force it on?

 

Did one ages ago but don't recall I had a problem then and don't know where I got it from

ive recently put full new exhaust on my gti and the gasket is abit tight, so it hold its self in place to fit the downpipe. if its really tight might be worth cleaning the manifold pipe as they do get rusty.

gasket shouldn't be tight, just firm hand pressure and it should slide all the way on easily, probably a ton of rust or the wrong size.

 

its best to buy the genuine peugeot/citroen kit as its far superior to aftermarket kits.

Think it the wrong size not sure what Peugeot its for then
