in my service history it says it had an engine rebuild at 75,000 miles, i guess someones sprayed the ally block black? all i can make out is; the writing on the bottom says removed , and some type of scale like temp maybe?? just interested what its purpose was <_<

that'll say "void if removed" its a temperature indicator, usually found on cylinder heads.

so its like some sort of security on the rebuild warenty?

it records the hottest temp or somthing?

Generally if overheated then warranty is voild, Bit worrying having those unless from a trusted source as the bottom end could be anything
