Stereo Stays On After Engine Off

Recommended Posts

Hey, fitted my stereo (Sony DSX-200) to my car and found that when I turn the engine and ignition off and even remove the keys that the stereo remains on. Never had this issue before with this stereo...is this issue normal on a 205?

I had this the other week.

If you open up the fuse board there a blue single cable that sits in a 2 hole slot, roughly in the middle of the board. Pull it out and put it in the one directly next to it. You might have to change the red and yellow cables afterwards on the back of the stereo

That worked perfectly, thanks mate! Didn't even need to swap wires at the back of the stereo.

What was the unused socket on the fuse board for?

Thank Anthony for that, he suggested it to me in the first place! :)

I think it basically alternates between switched live and permanent live
