205 Gti Has Cut Out Whilst Driving And Now Won't Start

Any ideas what might have happened?

 

Engine turns over but won't fire up

 

Power is getting through to the coil but there is no spark at the plug leads and nothing at injectors either.

 

Driving one minute ground to a halt the next.

 

I was able to bump start a couple of times prior to conking out completely

 

Frustrating as it was my first proper drive out of 2014

Nothing at the plugs,

 

AA towed it away, he said there was no HT

I'd check - dizzy signal cable (black one with an yellow 3pin connector on the end) , tachymetric/fuel pump relay , ignition amplifier and the wiring .

 

Try replacing above items with known good spares .. and see what happens .

Loose wire / connection on ignition amplifier, so nice cheap fix, thanks for your suggestions, in exactly the right place
