Standard Backbox For 1991 1.9 Gti?

Recommended Posts

Is the correct OEM backbox for the above a Klarius PG210M?

If not, what's the right one?

Currently have a Magnex and trying to put my car back to factory spec as much as possible.

Cheers

Alex

The original OE system was made by ECIA but they're difficult to find now and is NFP from Peugeot.

PG210M is the correct Arvin part number for a later 2 piece (olive fit) pattern 205 GTi backbox though.

Can't speak for Klarius but I've generally used Bosal for pattern stuff as it's pretty good quality wise and has been proven that it'll make good power even with a 16v engine so I'm pretty sure it won't be any restriction on an 8v.

PG210M is the correct one for my '91, right? :)

Great, not too pricy either which is good. I had the rest of the exhaust replaced but it's made my Magnex backbox wayyyyy too loud.

It should be a 2 piece olive fit on a 1991 car but double check as it might have had anything fitted over the years!

Don't get Klarius, they're a budget make and are often made badly. Go for Walker if you want to go pattern.

Sorry to hijack. I'm after a standard oe backbox too. Last one I bought from a dealer was part number 1726.34. Any idea on availability and cost, farmer?
