Subframe Mounting

I took one of the mounts off my Xsara earlier, it is 61 or 62mm between bolt centres and 25mm high. If you think that might work and you want to give them a go you can have them if you cover the postage.

Jack has sent me the xsara vts ones, on first look they didnt fit. But i think thats because i tried to install it upside down lol. The hole spacing was slightly out though, i measured the vts unit at 62.10mm hole centres and it looks close so id imagine its a 60mm gap between hole centres on the 205. Im gonna try and knock a set up that ive drawn up tonight and see how they fare. I may just elongate he holes so theyd be a dual fitment between 205 and the vts. Ill let you know how i get on

Their height is about 25mm but what height is a standard 205/309 one?

I had some new 309 ones delivered through the door this morning! Here is the difference between 205 and 309,

Those xsara ones don't have the bolt part, or can that be removed?

I'll get them measured up and modelled in cad this week for reference and incase anyone wants to make them.

zx/xsara/306 use a bolt, the part pictured from the 205/309 has a stud.

thats the xsara one jack sent me, ive polished it up a bit and the centre (nut) is independant. The one i designed was basically identical to that 309 one until i realised id tried to fit it upside down. Heres what i have now (still need to mill the flange and put in the mounting holes but you get the idea)

Thinking about it a bit more, ill make mine the same as these xsara ones. Ill bore the back of mine out and turn a nut down the same to fit in. That way if they seize like the 2nd one i have, the only part youd need to replace would be the nut and not the full mount

Looks good.

I can't believe how rusty my xsara was, I made loads of holes in the chassis leg with a screwdriver after I took that mount off.
