205 Cti V6 Rev Counter

Hi everyone

 

Great site good job!

 

I have a 1990 205 cti with a v6 (xfz) fitted its all up and running and moted but im having trouble getting my rev couter and temp gauge working it is fitted with a bosch mpc 7.0 ecu can anybody help me?

I wish I could remember how I got mine working, but Mei (welshpug) did most of it! It's actually quite easy, just a couple of wires to connect up correctly. You will need a dual speed sensor, by dual I mean a mechanical speedo drive which has a 3 pin plug as well. (assuming you are using the standard 205 dash).

That's for the speedo, and yes they are readily available.

 

For the rev counter on Georges car we just fitted a Motronic rev counter and plugged the ecu output straight to it, I can't remember what he did for the previous two.

I must be missing something buddy? I can't see anything that tells me the output stage from the ecu :)
