Where Is The Lights On Buzzer?

Recommended Posts

Guest justin85

As title!

Mine doesn't work - where is the buzzer? Will I have to rip out half the dash to get to it or is it easy?

Cheers,

Justin.

All phase 2 205 GTi's have them.

Phase 2 being later models, Late 1990 onwards.

Oh, and judging by the sound of mine, somewhere in the steering column!

nope, none of mine have had them - think you can make one quite easily though

..or just remember to turn your lights off with the ignition :)

argghhgh.

I remember an identical thread about 9 months ago when the buzzer in my old 309 died. It started a massive argument about whether there was a buzzer or not.

the final decision was... some do and some dont. Personally, I think that all TRUE phase 2s do (not the transitional models) and both of my phase 2 309s have. The buzzers sometimes stop working, which may explain why some phase 2s dont have buzzers (i know they die, coz on my first 309, one day it had a buzzer, the next it didnt).

The buzzer on my phase 2 205 is under the steering column, attached to a bracket attached to the steering column. There another relay also on the same bracket.
