Clio 1.5 Dci Engine Removal

Has anyone every removed the engine and gearbox complete from a 2001-2005 1.5 dci Clio? I've disconnected everything and am ready to start trying to lift it out, just wondered if anyone had done it and had any tips?

 

I ask because me Haynes says you either drop it complete on the subframe or lift it out after splitting the engine and gearbox. I don't want to drop the whole lot as it seems like more work than nessisary. And there doesn't look to be much room to pull the gearbox away from the engine.

 

It looks like it will just about squeeze out whole but has anyone on here done it before?

Comes out of the top fine no need to split the gearbox.
