Hi guys, heres another project i got for you.

Since project number 1 is still waiting for a full respray and RFS engin, and number 2 got crashed i dicided to buy this red 1.6 GTI

The idea is to get this car in a good shape, and drive it like daily car.

It had been stored since 2006 but has had an apk(mot) every year and drove less then 1000 km since then.

The interior is in an almost perfect condition, and only needs a good clean.

The engine however was a whole other story...wouldnt run at all with the airflow meter conected so here the story begins.

The previous owner already bought a new ignition module, temp sensor, TB position sensor, and got some other airflow meters, but still the car wouldnt run...

I dicided to pull out the wirring loom replace all bad wires and connectors with new.

After a view days work i got it all done, and in the mean time also replaced the starter.

So it was finaly time to start it up again and...... nothing :(

The only other thing i couldt think of then was bad fuel pressure, so i changed out the regulater, stil nothing.

Then pulled out the pump itself and tada, the rubber hose inside the pump had ruptered and failed to provide enough pressure, put in another pump, and she ran :)

Now iam left with getting everything right again like timing and CO.

And now some pictures the work:

The engine doesnt want to run good, plus the waterpump is leaking, distribution needs a replacement and the clutch is worn. So i decided to rebuild a 1.9 DKZ
