Best Plug Leads For Mi16 Conversion

Recommended Posts

2anda1/4

Hi Everyone

Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm looking for a set of plug leads for Mi16 engine with a disributor conversion and the cap has male ends. I want to retain the original plug lead cover on the rocker cover. My old set has had it and I'm sure someone must know what leads will fit and from what car.

Thanks in anticipation

Kev

If I recall correctly - the Corsa 1.2 16v leads were what I used on my old old mi16.

Corsa 16v leads are what you use when you're running a wasted-spark coilpack on a XU 16v Dan - they're not going to fit very well on a distributor as is being used in this case.

will standard MI16 leads not fit?

No, they're too short due to the distributor conversion block and the height of the distributor.

I am trying to avoid buying the Constella ones if possible, dcc. I don't know if they make them or buy them in.

Why lose the distributor block, ORB? What would I run the distributor from?

You can make your own quite cheaply, Keep the Mi ends and crimp on the fittings as needed, Look at some kit car places at a guess
