205 Mi16 Non Start

hi i have a 205 gti with mi16 fitted car has been running great till a few

 

days ago , will only start with jump off another car have tried another battery

 

it turns over but no spark but as soon as you jump it , it go's

 

 

thinking poor earth but have checked the one on gearbox are they any more major earths

 

on the car

thanks have had a look at them and seam ok

 

found alternator not charging but this should not stop it starting

 

have replaced it now any way and its starting now but not sure i have

 

cured problem

If it starts, id guess you have

 

Probably was charging a little but not enough to maintain a good condition battery

 

 

Those front earths are lighting fan and horn only, engine is on the transmission to battery.

i got rid of all the horrible earth bridge things and just grouped the wires and used hoop crip terminals and bolted them strait to the body with one m6 bolt and some copper grease to stop corrosion
