Engine Code

I have a 1.6 cti from 1989. I am pretty sure it's the xu5j engine but not 100% sure. Where is the engine code? I found a little tag near the cam belt cover and despite looking around couldn't see any other obvious marking. Is the tag I found the code I am looking for and what does it say if it is the 5j/5ja engine? I know there is probably a guide somewhere but I'm using a phone and the search functionality is poor on the mobile site.

I think it should have a tag near the top driver's side engine mount saying B6D if it's an XU5JA, which a 1989 1.6 CTI engine should be. The 1.9 XU9JA is D6B, confusingly.
