New Throttle Cable, Installing Properly; Help Needed

Evening all

 

ive managed to balls up another (2 now) throttle cable installs

 

They are motor factor ones and need cutting to length, im messing it up big time and i cant work out what to do.

 

Idiots guide please of how to cut and install a throttle cable, im being useless

remove original outer, place new uncut alongside, cut to same length, swap over outer cable end fittings.

 

fit inner cable to pedal and feed through bulkhead, fit outer cable over inner and seat into bulkhead grommet..

 

fit inner cable end clamp, pull out slack and tighten grub screw, check pedal movement and that tension on WOT is not excessive, trim off excess inner cable, seal up end with solder or a cable end crimp.

 

Job done.
