Mi16 Inlet Manifold

Recommended Posts

Basset

Hi, I've currently got a shortened inlet manifold fitted to my Mi16 205, I'm thinking about fitting the original length manifold as I'm curious whether or not it'll make a noticeable difference mainly to the torque? I've done some searchs on here but was wondering if anyone has tried both back to back and what the results were? Not too keen on cutting the fan cowling down as a few people have mentioned it weakens the slam panel? Any advice would be great.

Cheers

Rob

You will only weaken the slam panel if you cut it

I ran a standard inlet with cut back cowling for years, like many others and never had any issues with a weakend slam plan.

My slam panel is weakend now as I've dropped the rad. It's the actual rad that supports the weight of the strike of the bonnet closing. Hence why I use aerocatches.

As to back to back tests I can't remember any done on the same rollers.
