Are These The Right Piston Rings?

Recommended Posts

Anthony

No - they're for the earlier 2.0 Mi16/S16 (XU10J4) engine

From memory, two of the rings are the same and one is different on the 2.0 GTi-6 (XU10J4RS) engine.

Top ring is the same as a c20 or a z20, i had trouble finding the rs kit so my supplier swapped the top rings at no extra cost, bottom two as anthony said are the same.

Cost about £50 from memory, pug want about that per piston!!

Far easier for you to sort yourself tbh!

Just find your local engine machine shop, most use Ferrari's piston services which is a trade engine parts supplier.

Yes they are, but if I was you id pay a little extra for the Goetze rings. Much better German quality.

The xu10j4 has 1.5mm top ring, 1.75mm middle and 3mm oil control ring.

The xu10j4rs has 1.5mm top ring, 1.5mm middle and 3mm oil control ring.

The c20xe goetze oil control ring is a better design than the Peugeot oe ring too.

Used them in a couple of engines personally with no problems and I think they are what Miles uses.
