Lowering Standard Seat Height In 205 Gti?

What steps did you take to remove the tilt? Im going to have a go at this next weekend. Simple process?

Very simple process I'd say, just remove the 6 Torx screws to take the seat out from the car but then I gave up when I realized the seatbelt clasp is bolted to the tilting mechanism I was going remove...

IIRC when I had the five door subframe on my car I fitted the seatbelt clasp under the seat base between the slider part which attaches to the seat base with thin washers to even the height out under the other mounts but you also have to remove the spacer blocks that were welded onto it.

For the mot your seats must be adjustable forwards and backwards and the base musn't be loose back rest doesnt matter too much as long as it locks in place and isn't hanging off that is it
