1) how thick is the metal these are made from (average)?

2) what are they made from (steel?)?

3) what are they attached to on the 205?

1) about 5-8mm

2) usually dural but possibly steel and if you're rich kevlar

3) You get a steel bar which bolts on at the front of the car to the existing holes in the body, the front of the sump guard attaches here. At the rear there are two mounts which attach to the floor pan.

I know where theres one for sale if you want one.

What is 'Dural'? Never heard of that before.

All the ones I've used have been Aluminium. From about 8 to 10 mm thick depending on surface etc. Not on 205's though.

I've just made an alloy one out of 9mm alloy. Fitted it to the front bulkhead (below the radiator) and then on the cross member (behind the anti roll bar). Solid as a rock (well more solid actually or it's useless!!!). If you want any piccies, dimensions etc. i'm sure i could help you out.

I would like to see some pictures of it. Thinking of fitting one.
