Anything Else Worth Changing At The Same Time As A Radiator?

Recommended Posts

john-melbourne

Hi Guys,

I am going to be replacing my radiator in the near future, just wondering do you guys thinks it worth changing anything else at the same time i.e sensors/switches? If so which ones? Also do you think it would be worth using some coolant flush before hand?

Thanks

John

Not really but clean the contacts on the rad switch.

Back flush with water always worked well.

Sorry for the really stupid question, but how do you back flush?

Thanks

So the direction of the water is in the reverse of how it normally travels.

It's worth changing the metal water pipe at the driver side inner wheel arch when your at it, if it hasn't been done in recent years. They always corrode badly and end up like a tea bag. They just get all the dirt of the day in there.
