ross1982 0 Posted January 2, 2013 My first car was a 205 gti 14yrs ago i kept car for seven years inbetween having other newer cars i just couldnt part with it , eventualy it totaly died i tryed buying others another four but they were all terrible falling appart buckets , anyway one day 2 yrs ago while i was working at an old guys house , he started telling me off his garage being taken down by the council and how he had his wifes 205 in there and it had stood for ten years bought new but she had past away and he just left it in garage . I made him an offer to buy after he showed me it and it was mine finally a clean 205 to restore . I took the car to my local mechanic who put it on ramp and low and behold it was extremely clean . so i started to restore and upgrade although i wanted car to remain totally original but with some upgrades . So far a 2.0 8v turbo has been fitted gti 6 brakes and fully rebuilt rear beam all brake lines replaced and fuel lines , replaced interior with a newer k plate unblemished one , upgraded to koni suspension , full custom exhaust was fitted , list goes on until complete mechanics were overhalled 1.9 speedlines sourced and painted fitted with toyo 888s , took car to knockhill done well quick and tight .
