Xu10J4Rs - Head Stud Conversion Bolts

Recommended Posts

markw

Does anybody know of any companies that make a head stud conversion kit (inc nuts) for a gti6 head, off the shelf, specialists want

circa £300 for 2 sets, that makes them £150 per set which seems a lot to me.

thanks

Mark

I think ARP or someone like that must do them, Rich walker has used them on his super high boost engines.

Why do you need them?

we sheared the "flutes" of one of the standard peugeot bolts, when undoing it after 1000 miles, my engine builder had to drill it out,

which was a b*st*rd of a job, and took ages,

hence he wasnt keen on using std bolts again

Not sure which bit you mean,

Surely its massively OTT just for that and adds a hell of a lot of work if the head needs to come off again, given its not a particularly common occurrence on fresh bolts, or even not very fresh at all.

I have a set of ARP custom jobs on one of my 8v's, i'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been much change for £150-200!

Sounds about the right money, Yes ARP do them for the GTi6, if you drop me a PM I think my supplier supplies them
