Distributor Sensor Help

Thank you all for the assistance and i should have taken your advice in the first place regarding the dizzy as im getting pissed off with it now and I am going to fit the flywheel and sensor, so the shopping list i have so far is

 

sensor

coil pack

215mm MI16 Flywheel

MI16 clutch

coil pack leads,

 

is there anything else i need?

The only bit you haven't listed is a coilpack thermostat housing but iirc Miles knows of a suitable blanking plate from Renault so you might not need the full housing & just the blanking plate.

 

Other than that, those parts should see you right.

Thanks Graham, im guessing that a coil pack of a citroen BX 1.9 and leads would be suitable?

I think ZX leads would be more suitable from memory, suits the 9JA head better, though might be confused with the difference to the XU10 leads.

 

But the coil would be the same.

Any mid 90's Pug or Citroen with a coilpack will do, the best HT leads are either those for a ZX Volcane or a 94+ 1.6 spi auto.

 

I know those for the 1.6 auto have the correct plug end boot for the XU9JA head.
