Gti 6 Sump Plug Thread Size?

Seems some idiot has stripped the thread in my sump - noticed oil dripping out of it after doing a trackday, went to see if I could just nip it up, found it wasn't even finger tight and just goes round and round.

 

Anyone know if you can get a tapered plug for a GTI 6 sump? I need the thread size/pitch etc anyways so I can get a helicoil or something.

I think they're M16x1.5. Easy enough to tap to M18x1.5. That's O2 sensor size and easy to get a plug for.

GTI-6 usually has an M14 sump plug so you could easily get it drilled & tapped to take the M16 plug from earlier tin sumps.
