EXO is a product by Gtechniq. It's a sealant that bonds direct with your paint work and allegedly gives 2 years protection.

More info here:- http://gtechniq.com/shop/hidden/exo/

It stops water, dirt etc sticking to your car.

Good example here:-

Ok let's get this prospective.

1 can £125.

From what I have used should get 6/7 applications out off the can.

Sales speel of each application should last 2 years. With correct washing technique.

Works out £20 ish per application.

Ok we all know it won't. However, the can could last 12 years.

Paintwork is a smooth as a babies bottom any gleaming.

Have a look at your paintwork closely in bright sunlight, wrong time of year to suggest this. You will see loads of swirl marks. These will either be from the sponges you use or the £5 car wash guys set up in your local closed garage forecourt.

To me, yes it is a lot of money. However, in the long run it is a good investment to keep the paintwork mint.

I will update here on how it gets on over the winter and beyond.

Had a little play today with a open hose.

We all know it is not good for a car to go into a garage when it is wet.

Dry it off with a hose!

Nice work dude, can't be detailed paint.

Never seen this product but given how much money and time it takes to correct a car properly if this was to last two years it would be great value for money IMO.

I corrected my 205 last weekend and I think in total it took 6.5 hours....

Cheers MiniGibbo.

I think you meant 'can't beat detailed paint' ;)

I can't strip and rebuild engines or carry some of the modifications most of you guys and girls do.

However, I clean it to an inch of its life. :)

Just need to start under the bonnet now!

Cheers Sensualt, I have only tried the C1 and EXO.

However, most of the Detailer types rave about the rest of the range.

In the original review I made a note of the mileage and will update every ow and then.

I better start on my Christmas list!

Nice work iplod! I want to get mine properly detailed as it has some marks in the laquer from when it was resprayed & would like to get it super shiny too! I haven't got the talent or time to do it myself, anyone know of a decent detailer in the Dorset/Somerset area who would do it for me?

Don't get me wrong, it probably does make sense if you are going to use it on multiple cars and really have tip-top paintwork that deserves to be treated well. For me I couldn't justify spending £125 from the outset, but if you could buy it in a smaller quantity, or if someone was selling a half used tin for a reasonable price, I'd consider it.

As detailing is becoming more common these days, I think that's part of the reason why many products are being sold at such an expensive price now. I like the idea of detailing, but don't have the patience for it myself, and I'd like the opportunity to try some of the more expensive products but I could never justify the expenditure as the products would never get used enough. It's one of those things where you either have to be using them for business, or the sort of person that spends their entire weekend, every weekend, cleaning their cars, to actually justify such a purchase. IMO anyway.
