Whats the little pipe to the intercooler? looks like it goes to the fuel pump?

Cheers Paul. So it wants plumbing back into intercooler / boost pipe..? It's full of oil :D

 

She's coming along well.. Big ideas for the fmic

 

For future reference:

 

rear lower engine mount is same as xu10.

 

Xu10 s16 engine alternator mount mount fits.

 

I think the crank pulley is bigger than a petrol to gear up the alternator.

Correct, without it the engine is really flat on boost, as I found out one day when I left it off my old 306.

So just plumb it back anywhere in the boost circuit or specifically into the intercooler?

there's a specific takeoff for it on the front of the top mounted intercooler.

Any idea what the sensor on the back of the block pointing at the flywheel is? Looks like a crank position sensor?

 

Also what is the little switch on top of the Lucas pump? It's activated on full throttle?

It is a kind of crank sensor, it is to make the diesel rev counter on the dash work.

 

Don't know about the diesel pump switch sorry.
