Intake Filter Options

Recommended Posts

Hi,I was checking out the stock air intake and

was wondering if there is any benefit using

an after market pod type.

The intake plastic piping seems a bit restrictive.

Anyone tried any mods in this area.

Dave.

It's not as restrictive as it looks, well least not on a standard engine. The main problem with a cone type filter is the heat in the engine bay means it'll be sucking in more hot air than with the standard set up.

Yes I was thinking that and I suppose if a pod were better then it would be OE.

A bit of 100mph tape should rectify the brittle/worn intake plastic.

Thanks,Dave.
