Upgrading A 405 Sti Xu10j2c

hi guys, its been a long time , i have a friend who have a 405 sti xu10j2c automatic, and he's just wanting a small modification to his engine, he was thinking about upgrading his engine with a 16 valve head from an mi16 2.0, anyone tried this before?? and howmuch hp increase>? and what work is required?? like ecu..etc, thanks in advance for ur help

As far as i know theres quite a lot of work as the pistons on the 8v engine wont have the cut outs in them to allow clearence for the extra valves, then you would need a remap for the extra fueling etc etc. It would work out much easier just transplanting the complete mi16 engine and loom etc.
