Phase 1 Clutch Cable On A Phase 2

Gearbox off.

 

Clutch kit replaced under warranty. (bearing was damaged and completely shot)

 

New fork locating bushes bought from Pug to stop bearing damage again.

 

Wife working Good Friday giving me a whole day to put it all back together.

 

Train ticket purchased for this week!

All back together and the new clutch is a smooth as anything, I would almost call it light, which is impressive for a Peugeot.

 

Let's see how long this release bearing last for!

Two months on and it is still really smooth and light, has transformed the car. I really miss driving it after I have been driving my Passat TDI. The Passat is much quieter and quicker, but doesn't have any of the steering feel and cornering ability of my crappy 1.8 GLX.
