Block Draining

Recommended Posts

Hi folks.

The 405 is going to get timing belt/tensioners and water pump fitted next week, so I'm taking the opportunity to change the coolant too. Can someone tell me where the drain plug for the block is on the D6C engine? And more importantly is it accessible/likely to be siezed?

Thanks

It's on the back of the block but I can't remember if it's on its own or if it's part of the distribution housing on the back of the block, you know, that piece that the 3 coolant pipes go into.

To be honest though I religiously change my coolant every two years so I just undo the radiator drain hole only lol

It's on the water distribution block... It's an allen key bolt IIRC...
