S1 Mi16 Rear Brake Compensators

Do series 1 Mi16 (1.9l)have rear brake compensators? My initial investigations suggest they don't.

 

I've fitted 406 front callipers with 57mm pistons (std are 54mm) & 283 X 26mm discs as well as a 23mm 4 branch (ex406) m/cylinder to the track car, but still have a long & confidence sapping pedal.

 

What are my options?
