Cooling Fan Relay Connections

I have no slow speed on my radiator fan and I traced the wires to the resistor to see that it was hanging on by only 1. I managed to find 2 wires both with spade connectors (green and White I believe) can anyone tell me which terminals they connect to? There are 3 to choose from like this

I'm also unsure which would be left or right, will this matter and if so is there an easy way to tell

Took a wild guess and used the centre and a random side and all now seems well. Hopefully won't get so hot when running.
