A two months ago, i bought '89. 205GTI 1.9 phase 1.5., not bad condition

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

with some s..ty covers on half leather seats, phase 1.5 with red line.

 

 

 

 

Had a few plans for him, tried some wheels and wasnt satisfied with the appearance.

with Super Star Leon Hardiritt Lanze 10x18

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love these two wheels, but that was too much for him,

and at last decided to buy another 205 with Turbo Look kit in bad condition,and complete a good one, and put it on BBS 406 coupe's 16 inch wheels.

 

 

Turbo look, finally came today at my place after hard negotiations.

Again tried 18" Leon Hardiritt and gave up. Wheel is great, but its not good looking.

 

 

 

 

 

then tried BBS 16".

 

 

 

 

 

Little better, but thats not a wheel for this car, gonna looking further.

Plan for him is installing Renault Vel Satis 2.0T engine and thorough bodywork for start.

What is the difference in the behavior of small car like 205 with turbo engine and atm. power engine like XU9J4?

Any help and advice will be pleased.

Yes, 18" are, and they are going to the market.

16" needs lower profile tyres, sample was 205/55

Can I ask what the reason for using the Renault engine is as opposed to something like a XU10J2TE? Appreciate that it's 20bhp less and 'only' 8v, but wouldn't it be an easier conversion in the long term and I'm sure some simple tuning tweaks will lessen the gap in bhp? (XU9JA cam iirc?)

 

Obviously if you have a Renault engine sat gathering dust in your garage, that would explain the choice

I wanted to buy crashed vel satis, but seller was not honest and gave up from renault.

Looking further for engine and try to stay loyal to peugeot.

Maybe GTI6 come in.

One free day and stripping of 205 GTK2 get started.

Now it looks like this

 

 

 

 

 

 

A lot of rust and a lot of holes, so this chassis gonna say Adios amigos.

A GTI No1 almost prepared for upgrade.

I'll start another topic in Engine works, so anybody who wants to help can write.
