205 Rallye 16V Conversion

As much as I want to keep my rallye standard I'm finding the power a issue

 

So was thinking 106 gti/saxo vts engine 16v just wondering if there is anyone on here with it done

There is a few with it done and a few in the

middle of builds. im in the middle of my high comp t/b engine build and custardrallye is in the middle of suppercharging his.

Id stick with 8v and go with something like a s1 rallye or s1 XSI engine, less weight slightly less power.. argueable better.

Better for what!? Less weight that's about it. The TU 16v are great engines and well suited to 205's IMO, only reason I didn't go for it was because the 6' engine is so easy to do with so many off the shelf parts.

Well seeing as the 16v tu is almost hanging forward, only has 120hp and weighs as much as a gti6 lump theyre pretty s*it in a 205..

8v tu sits in the same place as the iron one!!

 

its well known that a healthy TU5J4 will prioduce easily over 120 bhp and mild mods can do decent gains relatively cheaply for the first stage of tuning.

 

however if weight is an issue but not capacity, you might as well drop a 1.9 Mi in there, or a tweaked 1600 XU of some kind.

You know me so well lol..

 

Gym rats also grind my gears, they can't lift anything more than warm up weights so try and pick at everyone's form to make them selves feel better..
