Got the same problem of increasing noise,I thought it was all in my head,it gets noisier every time I use it,I am going to hacksaw mine open and pack it with some of that acoustafil stuff then tig it back up,anybody tried it ?,it has good reviews elswhere .

As I have nobody local to me who wants to repack this for me, I am looking to do this mtself.

Is it a case of cutting a suitable sized hole in the silencer and replacing the packing, reweld the cutout back into the silencer?

Pretty much buddy. Makes it easier if you have access to a bandsaw as you then get a nice thin saw cut which us much easier to neatly weld up again. Merlin Motorsport do decent silencer material that isn't over expensive.

I was looking to use a sliting disk in a grinder. And had seen the parking in merlins did not know if it was any good.
