Clutch Cable

hi all i have just rang my local motor factors asking for a clutch cable. He tried to input the reg of the car but no good. He said there are two options for my car given that she is 1990 (H reg) but he isnt sure which one. Gearbox is be3. Anyone know any part numbers or lengths i can use to find the right cable? Any help much appreciated

There is only one type of clutch cable for a RHD GTi of that age.

 

Motaquip part number is VVC367 if that helps, and that is (or was on the one I bought) the same Dura branded part as OE.

 

While there is in theory a second variant of the BE3 clutch cable, that was for a very small number of early BE3 cars, and I don't know anyone that has ever seen one and indeed most motorfactors don't list it. Certainly by H reg it would be a normal run of the mill BE3 cable.

what anthony said, i'll dig out the part number i was given but that motaquip number rings a bell
