Strange Gearbox

Hello all, the gearchange on my H reg 1.9 has become stiff over the last few days, also she grinds wen trying to select reverse. it sounds like the clutch is dragging to me but the clutch has been in the car for just over a year and i cant imagine it has gone already. Cluch is LUK so is a good make. Any ideas, as i dont really want to take the box off if i dont have to.

I would check for a cracked release arm on the gear box. its happend to me twice now i use the 306 s16 arm as its seam welded now
