The best way is to strip down the seats and swap over the covers onto the drivers seat. Quite fiddly but probably a few hrs work.

Thats the easiest way to fix this problem.. i was thinking of heating the arm and bending it outwards to clear the turning thing but wondered if there was a simpler way of doing it.

You could always ditch the tilt system and just let passengers in through the N/S!?

Days gone by Id of just cut the f***er off with mygrinder but these new not rules mean it has to work, going to ask a mate who works in a fab shop to heat it up and give it a bend

No need to cut it off - if it catches, just bend it out of the way a touch to give clearance.

If you don't need/want the tilt functionality, then either fit a 5dr subframe or fully remove the tilting part from the 3dr subframe - both options means that you'll get a more stable seat that sits a touch lower.

just put a big ring spanner over it and lever it out just enough to clear - works for me!
