Xantia Hdi Clutch Change 8 Hrs?

Recommended Posts

Flozman

My Xantia needs a new clutch soon and due to my job I am barely able to get time to work on the 205 let alone the wife vehicle, so obviously Ive had to enroll a garage to take on the work.

I just had a qoute today for 8hrs work, I know its not easy but I've swapped a xantia engine over in half that time. Are they trying milk me?

Thanks im always grateful for any input.

I hate to say but thats correct.....well sort of, the dealer book time for a clutch change on a DW10 engine xantia is 8.00hrs. I work for citroen by the way. So they have jsut gone off that by the looks of it.

sounds about right, there's a ton of pipework and crap in the engine bay of a DW10/12 equipped vehicle, then you complicate it further by adding Citroen suspension!
