Mi16 / S16 Stalling Problem

Hi all.

 

Car spec 205 GTI with 2.0 XU10J4 engine 1.6 gearbox.

 

I have been having a problem over the last few days with a stalling issue, hheres the story.

 

I was driving home from work yesterday car started and drove loverly, idles spot on. As soon as it got up to tempurature pulled up at a set of lights and stalled. Starts first turn but unless on the throttle it will just die straight away.

 

This happened for around 10 minutes and then just back to normal perfect tick over, so i thought might have cleared. All perfect rest of the way home.

 

This morning on way to work it was a carbon copy of the drive home. Perfect then stalling once up to running temp and then after 10 - 15 mins back to perfect.

 

any ideas would really help as wont get chance to look till sunday

as it sounds temperature related I'd check the lambda and coolant temperature senders.

 

have you got the VSS fitted as well?

yes engine remained exactly as came only gearbox was different as kept original one from car.
