dcc

dta for a gti6 engine with throttle bodies.

the bigger injectors would be needed if running serious power, over 230bhp~, but gti6 injectors will cope fine to 220ish with no issues.

after having one fitted to my 1.9 i even had one fitted to my mi16 conversion so both the above links were interesting to see that all those years ago when superchips were fitted to just about everything in every magazine that i too may have been taken for a fool and twice at that! its a good thing that now days its all about throttle body's and ecu's that you can just reprogram

Mac Crash

Searched forum for Superchip and this topic is what I found.

Thanks, that explains some areas.... and why the chip smooths out the jerkiness of an 8V 1.9... the fuel pressure regulator has made the throttle an off/on switch but does anyone know if the Superchip raises the RPM limit as stated? I doubt the chip will give any more power, it will only allow more power to be made due to the increased rev limit, provided the state of engine tune.... more revs doesn't always mean more power. This was the theory in the 80's anyway, I guess most folk didn't know the thing was overfuelling.

I was going to buy the superchip until I read this topic... I'd rather live with the jerkiness than overfuelling and the jerkiness only really affects the car when creeping in modern traffic... it can be countered with driving finesse and not creeping forward inch by inch in traffic...
