1.9 Thermostat

Morning all, just after a little guidance around thermostats. I gather you can run a 1.9 thermostat on an MI assuming its still running 1.9 cooling bits.

Does anyone know the part number for the Halfords one? I'm sure I've heard they're pretty cheap with a trade card.

not a clue on halfords, but the pug part number is 133837 for the 83 degree 8 valve stat. about £12.

QTH332K / HTK615 is the 82 degree 'stat for a 205 GTi etc, and it's £3.31 off the shelf with a trade card at Halfrauds (£10.99 without!).

 

Comes with the seals in the box as well, and work well - I've been using them for years without issue

Thanks Anthony. Off to mix it with the ill informed chavs of Harlow that no doubt frequent and indeed probably work at Halfords.
