Found The Leaking Area - Please Help Fixing!

Recommended Posts

Hi

I found out that the water coming inside my car is from the area of the front washers , their motor and the sunroof vacuum black box

what i mean is : on both sides there are 2 holes for letting water drain down to the front wheel arches.

as soon as water starts to drain , it starts to get inside too.

what should i do now?

any idea would be appreciated . please

thanks

behind the wing there are several panel join seams, you'll proabbaly find the stonechip has cracked, allowing water in as it trickles down the inner wing

yep you need to remove the wing

you might find the wing is also bonded on in places so just use a very sharp stanley blade or knife and take your time

theres 1 in the front wheel arch and 1 infront of the door halfway down the A pillar

infront of the door halfway down the A pillar

It is quite well hidden - you will need a socket and an extension to reach it through the pillar steelwork.

If the wing has never been off then be warned that they take some serious getting off, the sealer used is very good. Take your time and do not be tempted to try and pull the wing off- all you will do is bend the panel.

A pillar is the front pillar the door hinges attach to. You need to remove the plastic panel at the side near where your feet are. Then there is a bolt in there pointing outwards to undo.

didn't want to open a new thread so i use this for it :

water drained inside the passengers door! - when i open the door and close it i can hear the water inside and it doesn't drain

how it came in the first place??

I reckon they got there through the rubber that seals between the door and the window, mostly the lower side (from the outside).

What is a "205 Forever" ? give us a picture! if it has wheelarch extensions like a GTI or a Rallye and are drilled for the fixings then I would imagine it is the same.

We've no idea what's available where you are but try Googling "car body seam sealer"

How often does it actually rain in Israel for you to go to all this trouble?
