Woodruff Key

does anybody know what size, where i can get woodruff keys for the cams on a xu9 16v???

i think the crank keys are bigger, i bought some on ebay but they turned up the size of a £2 coin cut in half!

Cams are 5mm, cranks are 6mm. I have plenty here if you can't find one locally.

They're on the Citroen version of servicebox. Part number 6976 06. £2.76 each.

You might want to double check that as it's the same part number for the crank key on various models.

Cams are 5mm, cranks are 6mm. I have plenty here if you can't find one locally.

 

My moneys on him being able to find one a bit more local :lol:

Paul13 has them & is much closer.

 

The Peugeot part number is;

  • 6976 06 CRANKSHAFT KEY 13X6-7

 

Either that or post a wanted topic.

I have the crankshaft woodruff keys for the GTI6, are these the same as MI16 cam sprockets?

 

Might be worth PM'ing Kyepan.

That's the same number from citroen service box for the XU9J4 cam key.

The 405 Mi16 cam sprockets are usually the same style as the 8v aren't they with the tab built into the cam sprocket, that explains why you can't find them in the Peugeot service box.

6976 06 is listed as the key for XU9 and 10J4, XUD and DW camshafts, and all XU, XUD+DW cranks

The crank is different its wider and shorter than the cams.
