Be1 Gearbox And Be3

Ive got a old be1 gearbox with a final drive of 4.8 which came out my rally car, is it possible to put this crown wheel and pinion in to a newer be3 box? If so what sort of outcome should i expect out of say a standard 1.9 gti box? Im running a mi 4.4 fd box at present how would it compare

Direct fit, You'll notice one hell of a difference basically, have a search for the speed calc on here to give you an idea

Cheers mate, thats ideal just incase anyone wants to know if you change the fd on a gti box to a 4.8 you would expect this difference

1st 31 instead of 41

2nd 50 instead of 65

3rd 68 instead of 88

4th 86 instead of 112

5th 106 instead of 138

Thats my rough working out but seems canny would be ideal on the track

It's ideal for tracks/rallies. I've got that set up on my rally car. Think it reaches 103mph (or did before the engine went bang)
