Gearbox Advice Needed

hi all

 

I have 205Mi16 on a 1.6 be3 box and I'm thinking of putting a xsare vts box in,

 

Ive done a bit searching but cant find the defo answer anywhere, can anyone tell me if the ratios are much the same?

 

any advice is really appreciated

Its just my 1.6 box seams to be pretty worn coz theres a good bit of play on the imput shaft

 

I'll stick wi 1.6 thought coz its for hillclimbs

stick new bearings in if its tired, or maybe the 4.4 fd with the 1.6 gearset

Only at higher speeds from third gear & above, first is slightly longer, second & third are shorter than the 1.6 box.

i want to do hillclimb and track days, and after reading thought spikes project a while back and seeing the success he had with 1.6 box i keep thinking i should stick wi my 1.6 box, for now at least
