Aftermarket Water Gauge

I have had issues with getting a reading from my water temp sensor in the 205. I have a Durite Water Temp Gauge, part number 0-523-23 which is suitible for use with 0-523-93 (the sensor). My question is, will this work with a 205/306 temperature sensor rather than the one supplied with it (Havent fitted it as it uses the wrong threads)

Easy way to find out is to use a multimeter. The main body of the sensor will be the earth and the pin will be e supply so measure the resistance of both and see what the difference is?

They will both be variable resistors, it just depends on what the ranges are.

didnt realise I hadn't posted a reply here and have had a few people ask...

You can use old sensor on the gauge, you can use new sensor on old gauge, they run the same resistances.
