306 Dt Gear-Box

Will be fitting the gearbox along with the 1.9 dt in my 205 but does the gearbox take the shafts? They slot in fine but I heard it will need1.9GTI cups...

Can anyone help?

with most you just need to swap to the 205 diff (retain the 306 crown wheel of course) then any 205309 BE shafts will work just fine.

yup, retain the original 205 speedo drive parts (not the alloy casting though, that has to stay with its box)

Can you swap the diff, or just swap the inner cv cup for the 306 dt/6 item.

 

Yep speedo cogs swap straight over, remember to change the vss one aswell.

 

Need to swap the selector arm aswell

I broke the plastic bit thats bolted down down by an 11mm bolt where the speedo cable goes into

you'll need to get another on then wont you! theyre the same on MA boxes too.
