Toyo 888 Second Hand Value

Recommended Posts

craig_007

Out of curiosity what would a second hand set of 4 888 medium compound be worth. There 195/50/15

2 tyres are just legal

2 tyres are perfectly fine.

A lot will depend on the age of them as much as the age. As you may know they go harder with age especially if used and then stored.

I've had them around 9 months and done a few track days with them.

I have paid for £10 a corner for very worn tyres in the past. A chap sold a set of very good ones for £200 with lots of interest recently on here.

£200 was around what I was thinking to fair. So alot will depend on tread depth.

I'll need to measure and see.

I personally would not value them at £200. The good pair are maybe worth £50 each yes, but the ones on the wear bars are no longer any good for the road, which demotes them to track only use, and as such are worth about £20 a tyre in my opinion.

i agree with tom :)

a friend i service for has had scrubbed ao48's in 15" for about £30 in the past, often theyve only done a few warm up laps atmost, sometimes not even been on a car!

not had any for a year or so but theyre a £100 each tyre
