My mum was a late passer in '91:

 

First car was a Rover Metro 1.1S 3door in red, Sold 3 years later & replaced by a 1.4Si, again in Red. That car ran for many years up until the alarm/immobiliser problems started, shortly followed by the usual tin worm, etc, so i bought her a brand new 1.4 engined MG ZR in blue, in '03 to replace it The ZR is still going strong
